Black Moses & The Spirit

Winners of the German Rock & Pop Award 2005

Moses Odiche Ariotu, singer and front man of Black Moses & The Spirit, had his first contact with music at the age of seven in a church choir in his homeland in Nigeria. He now lives in Germany and has accomplished a lot with Black Moses & The Spirit. At the annual music competitions they were favourites. They won the German Rock & Pop Award and music4life ambassador in four consecutive years; winners of the German Rock & Pop Award 2005 in Hamburg, in 2006 in Duisburg, both in the category “Best Reggae Band”, 2007 again in Wiesbaden, this time in two categories: “Best Reggae Band” & “Best Reggae Album” 2008.  Their musical support came from some great musicians like: Peter Schuller on keyboards (Golden Earring, Bob Geldof, Alpha Blondy), Eiko Falckenberg on guitar (Atomic Kitten), and Gunter Ishii on bass (Baly Khan Jazz Orchestra, Ndiaga Diop).  In addition to their international appearances, Black Moses & The Spirit also were engaged by music4life as official ambassadors for the welfare of disadvantaged children worldwide. With each concert and every CD or merchandise article you buy, you will be helping to give the needy kids perspectives and a future.
