Sheriff Oborevwori, of over N674,000,000 for the payment of bursaries to students of Delta State origin for the 2022/2023 academic session has been welcomed with commendations from various quarters. In a statement, Gbandi highlighted the significance of this bursary disbursement, particularly in light of the prevailing economic challenges. He emphasized that the financial assistance provided through the bursary program would greatly alleviate the burden on both students and their parents. Moreover, he stressed the importance of ensuring strict oversight to guarantee transparency and eliminate unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles in the disbursement process.

Gbandi reiterated his unwavering commitment to supporting Governor Oborevwori in his efforts to drive the development agenda of Delta State. He assured the governor that Delta indigenes in the Diaspora would continue to rally around him, providing the necessary support to sustain the state’s development trajectory.

Adione emphasized the importance of prioritizing education and empowering students to excel academically.

The approval of over N674 million for students’ bursary reflects the government’s commitment to investing in human capital development and ensuring that education remains accessible to all deserving students in Delta State.
