The women’s wing of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Delta State rose to the moment in Asaba with a powerful and strategic gathering under the dynamic leadership of State Woman Leader, Mrs. Joy Nena.
In attendance were the three Senatorial District Women Leaders and the 25 LGA Women Leaders, a formidable network of grassroots mobilizers united by one vision: to strengthen the party, expand its reach, and shape the future of Delta State. This was not just a meeting; it was a movement in motion.
The session was vibrant, solution-driven, and forward-looking. Clear and practical strategies were adopted to grow and consolidate the party across the state. At the heart of the deliberations was an aggressive membership drive, intensified mobilization for PVC registration, and the systematic collection of ADC membership cards to reinforce structure, loyalty, and accountability.
Mrs. Joy Nena charged the women with a stirring reminder: ADC is not just another political platform, it is a vehicle of opportunity, restoration, and rescue for women and youths. She called for unwavering focus, discipline, unity, and loyalty to the party’s vision of inclusive leadership and people-centered governance.
A resounding call to action echoed through the room: women must lead the charge against vote-selling. As mothers, mentors, and community influencers, they were urged to defend the integrity of the ballot and protect the future of the next generation. The message was clear, our votes are our voice, and our voice must never be for sale.
The gathering concluded not with mere resolutions, but with renewed fire, deeper unity, and a collective determination to intensify sensitization and grassroots mobilization across all 25 LGAs.
The ADC women in Delta State are not waiting for change, they are organizing for it, mobilizing for it, and leading it.
The time is now. The structure is growing. The women are ready.
