It is with profound sorrow and a deeply broken heart that I received the painful news of the passing of my LGA Chairman, Pastor Akaba Joseph Nwaebili of Akwukwu-Igbo.

This is not just a personal loss. It is a heavy blow to Akwukwu Igbo, Oshimili North, to Delta North, to the ADC family, and to every believer in honest grassroots leadership. Pastor Akaba was more than a political ally. He was a trusted brother, a courageous mobilizer, and a steadfast pillar of our collective struggle from the very beginning.

He stood with uncommon loyalty, conviction, and sacrifice. He gave his strength, his time, and his heart to the building of a formidable grassroots movement in Oshimili North and across Delta North. Through difficult seasons and uncertain moments, Pastor Akaba remained constant, committed, and fearless.

He was a man who believed deeply in fairness, justice, and inclusive representation. These were not mere political slogans to him. They were sacred principles he lived out with sincerity and courage. He was a strong voice for the people, a tireless defender of Oshimili North, and a proud advocate for the shared hopes and interests of Anioma.

His passing leaves a painful vacuum that words can scarcely fill. For me personally, this loss is devastating. I will deeply miss his wisdom, his loyalty, his steadfast support, and his unshakable strength of character. He was one of those rare men whose presence gave others confidence, whose words carried weight, and whose commitment inspired trust.

In honour of his life and in solemn respect for his memory, I have directed that all Friends of Gbandi Political Vanguard suspend awareness activities in the coming days.

But even as we mourn, we must not allow his labour and sacrifice to fade into silence. The greatest tribute we can pay to Pastor Akaba Joseph Nwaebili is to keep alive the values for which he stood and fought: fairness in leadership, justice for all, and inclusive representation for every community.

We must carry forward the cause he believed in. We must protect the vision he helped to build. We must remain faithful to the principles that defined his life of service.

May God Almighty comfort his family, strengthen the people of Akwukwu-Igbo, uphold the entire ADC Oshimili North family, and grant all of us the grace to bear this painful and irreplaceable loss.
