PRESS RELEASE

NIDO GERMANY ON THE ONGOING XENOPHOBIC KILLINGS IN THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA
NIDO Germany, do follow with deep shock and concern, the ongoing situation of killings in the Republic of South Africa. We are unequivocal in our utter condemnation of this trend of attacks on Africans by fellow Africans. We are calling for an immediate cessation of attacks which has no place in democracy nor does it fit with the ideals of hospitality indigenous, to African societies.
NIDO Germany, hereby urge the Government of South Africa to sustain its resolve to maintain peace and order by bringing to justice persons involved in the formulation and implementation of these heinous acts. It would only show our seriousness to adhere to the rule of law as a major tenet of democracy which the African Union unanimously adopted as the official system of Government for countries in the continent.

Recommendation:
In pursuit of the African Union’s 2028 target for a fully integrated Africa, we hereby recommend an acceleration of the integration agenda towards eliminating xenophobic incidence like is presently happening in South Africa.

Furthermore, may we reiterate the absolute need for African people, on the continent and in the diaspora, to stick together and aspire to a greater, self-reliant and progressive African continent.
Using the words of Nelson Mandela-a legendary African of South African descent; – “By acting together, we can achieve success”, We hereby call on all South Africans to emulate the spirit of oneness displayed by all African Nations in no meagre proportion during South Africa’s apartheid regime. Let us substitute violence with  dialogue because it would facilitate peaceful co-existence and better integration.

These killings has to stop and with immediate effect!

Sincerely Africa,
Hon. Kenneth Gbandi
