Speaking during the event, First Lady Jattani emphasized the crucial role of education for every child. She urged the community to ensure universal access to schooling and firmly denounced harmful cultural practices. She urged residents to stop Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and avoid early marriages, noting that such practices continue to impede the progress of young girls in most communities in Marsabit County.

Through the provision of essential resources and a resolute stance against detrimental cultural norms, Mrs. Jattani has been spearheading the charge to ensure equal educational opportunities for girls and boys, fostering an environment where they can realize their full potential.

First Lady was accompanied by notable figures, among them Laisamis MP spouse Sophia Lekuton, CEC Administration Armara Galwab, the Kargi/South Horr MCA Criss Ogom, Nominated MCA Hindia Salat, Chief officers Orge Bajji (Food Security), Qaballe Adhi (Education), and Guyatu Wakala (Skills Development and Vocational Training), Ms. Pauline Marleni (Department of Natural Resources and Wildlife), Kula Phabi (Department of Fisheries Development) and Samuela Lolokuru (Department of Culture, Gender and Social Services).
