Residents from four communities in Aniocha South, Delta State, have raised concerns about the deteriorating condition of their roads, appealing to Governor Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori and Hon Senator Ned Munir Nwoko for urgent attention. OBA’N’LA Bright, a native of UKWU-OBA, conveyed the community’s distress, urging the state authorities to include their roads in the ongoing state-wide construction projects.

Expressing their plea, OBA’N’LA Bright emphasized the residents’ struggle to maintain the roads independently through annual financial contributions, which, unfortunately, haven’t yielded positive results. He pointed out the collective efforts made by the communities to ensure the roads remain passable, acknowledging the state government’s commitment to road infrastructure but urging them to extend their support to address the challenges faced by these particular communities.

In a heartfelt appeal, OBA’N’LA Bright requested Governor Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori to intervene, saying, “Fixing our roads has been a monumental challenge for the residents. Despite our yearly financial contributions, the condition persists. We are aware of Governor Sheriff’s commendable efforts in road infrastructure across the State, and we earnestly implore him to include our roads in the ongoing projects to ensure their rehabilitation.”
