GCE-Victoria (Gbandi Chukwemeka Emmanuel – Victoria Education Foundation) is a nonprofit foundation instituted by Gband´s children in memory of their parents, Chief and Ezinne Victoria Gbandi, both veterans and advocate of community leadership and educational development, who dedicated their life to educational and personal capacity development, especially for the brilliant but less privileged in the society.
GCE-Victory is in fulfillment of the duos to assist individuals with potentials to aspire to higher educational development like everyone else while also advocating for giving back to the community and building new generation of leaders.
GCE-Victoria Education Foundation, an affiliate of African -German information Center (AGIC) engages in capacity development and provides resources for personal academic achievement and innovative personal educational capacity development programs through grants and donations.
Currently the foundation is sponsoring students in Akwukwu-Igbo by assisting brilliant students whose parents needed additional assistance to enroll their pupils for examinations both to the Junior secondary school (JSS) and senior secondary school (SSS) examinations. The Foundation was launched in September 2018 and the first set of students benefited from the enrollment of West African School exterminations in December 2019 in Akwukwu Igbo grammar school, Delta state after an assessment test organized by the school administration and supervised by Joseph Nomso Adione, GCE-Victoria Education Foundation´s country administrator.
Three students that came tops, scoring above average to qualify for the minimum requirements were selected for the media scholarship edition. GCE-Victoria Education Foundation is happy that one of the students came out with distinctions in the West African school certificate examinations 2019/2020 sessions. The other two equally came out with distinctions and credits. The foundation is glad about the excellent vetting modalities of Joseph Nomso Adione, the country administrator as evident with the results of the selected candidates. The beneficiary who initially skipped the enrollment due to lack of funds and financial support got reprieves from the foundation that came to their rescue. The Foundation is also set to collaborate with Youth Capacity Building and skills acquisition project scheduled to kick off first quarter of January 2021 in Asaba Delta State. Up to 500 Youths will benefit from AGIC program with international funding.
Hon. Kenneth Chibuogwu Gbandi, the CEO of African -German Information Center, who is also the director of the Foundation is the current Deputy National Chairman of ADC, diaspora engagement, which is currently the 3rd largest political party in Nigeria in terms of national spread, and the 4th in elected persons. The foundation calls on all lovers of Education and youths’ development and capacity building initiatives from corporate, public and private and well-meaning spirited persons to collaborate with the foundation financially and materially. He pledged that ADC would also collaborate with the Foundation to assist less privileged Nigerians in the areas of Educational scholarship, Youth capacity development, international student exchange program and leadership training and development.
