The 2nd Annual October gathering/Nigerian Independence celebration of the Nigerian Scholars in Germany (NiSIG) will hold on the 3rd of October in Hamburg. The NiSIG team cordially invites all members, friends and sponsors to this event. It’s a special time of the year when we all meet to celebrate NISIG, the Nigerian Independence Day and also network. This year’s event promises to be eventful with live musical and comical performances, Green carpet interviews, and Nigerian delicacies among others. Our guest speaker for this year event is the Nigerian in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) president, Honorable Kenneth Gbandi.
The NiSIG is a scholar led body founded by 22 Scholars on the 30th of March 2013 in Hannover Germany. It is a body that provides an enabling and conducive platform for its members at the undergraduate, graduate and professional level to connect with one another, exchange ideas and views on matters that concern the interest of its members while also identifying and harnessing (Nigerian) talents for the betterment of Nigeria, its host country (Germany) and the world. As a body of Nigerians studying/working and resident in Germany, NiSIG seeks to promote and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our beloved country Nigeria.
