Finally days after the official election, with the [„Almighty BIVAS“] and electronic transmission of results from polling units branded by INEC as the game changer, NIEC finally announced controversial results contravening their own rules for live updates of results from pollen units?

It’s common knowledge that the major opposition political parties including the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and the African Democratic Congress (ADC), have called for the cancellation of last Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.

They [PDP, LP, ADC] also declared a vote of no confidence on the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, calling on him to step aside and allow another person to conduct the 2023 elections.

I have crossed seven seas, rode boats in floods, walked on foot in farm settlements, and talked with royal fathers & mothers, market women, pastors, union leaders, youth mobilizers, and school students in search of homeland development and a better Anioma.

So or so, the need for a paradigm shift in Nigeria , for effective and responsible representation with effective oversight of the institutions of Governance and provide strong advocacy for Resource Management, Tax Reform, Security Sector Reform, and Constitutional Reform for an equal, fair, just, and a strong united Federal Republic of Nigeria while making ANIOMA destination for smart investment and youth capacity building remain sacrosanct and a top priority for all of us.

But in all things: I am extremely grateful that the ADC – OBI-DATTI STAR ALLIANCE that gave an unprecedented and priceless electoral value has redrawn the political lines in Nigeria and Delta North and set a historic, patriotic, pragmatic, and responsible politicking where Nigeria comes first above personal ambition and the voices of the masses matters most.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to run for one of the highest public offices [SENATE], for the sole purpose of enriching the lives of my people, as I have done actively for the past 3 decades of my life, both locally and in the diaspora.

I took this road, not for petty partisan sentiments or material gain, but to add my voice to several millions of Nigerians who have been subjected needlessly to untold hardship

For Delta North, my burden is clear: We are too rich to be this poor and bereft of infrastructural development and social reform. I do not doubt in my mind that Anioma can be better than it is today.

I hope many good people of Anioma and Nigerians share this belief, now and in the future, and more importantly, I hope this belief will be kept alive.

I thank my team for standing by me from the beginning of this journey and the many Delta Northerns that shared these burdens and excitement with us.

I am also grateful for my Friends and loved ones both at home and in Diaspora, Fiona, Hon Eddy, Mark, Henry, Chi, Agunabor, Diaspora Patriot, NIDO compatriots, and my church, the Chapel of Believers Germany, etc who accompanied me all through this journey till date.

I thank our National Chairman, Chief R.O. Nwosu, for his visionary leadership that gave rise to ADC-Diaspora Network, our leader H.E. Chukwuka Monye, ADC NWC and countless others that supported my aspirations. I will be dedicating time to acknowledge each and every one of you, especially at the right time.

I congratulate all Delta Northerners for their determination to see a new Nigeria despite all intimidation and economic difficulties.

I am extremely grateful to my family; Tanja, Fabian, and Nelly for keeping up with my long absence from Germany in my bid to serve my people. I am grateful to my siblings, the great children of Chief E.C. and Ezinne V.A. Gbandi, especially my immediate senior brother Charles for the moral, material and all round support. Above all, I give all Glory to God for his mercy and protection.

Nation Building is a marathon and not a sprint. ADC remains for me the best credible alternative. The fact that ADC is the most sort after political bride in the 2023 election says it all.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will follow all legal and democratic means and processes to test the system and the electoral laws. Until then let us remain calm, prayerful, and law-abiding.

God Bless Delta North
God Bless Delta State
God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Yours in Service

Kenneth Chi Onye bu Ogwua Gbandi, Deputy National Chairman (Diaspora Engagement) African Democratic Congress (ADC)

Senate candidate for Delta North, African Democratic Congress (ADC).
