The media team of Hon. Kenneth Gbandi, ADC Delta North Senatorial Candidate (2023) and Convener of the Kenneth Gbandi 4 Nigeria Organisation, has strongly condemned a recent publication claiming the emergence of a “new” Delta State Executive Committee (EXCO) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the purported passing of a vote of no confidence on the current State Chairman, Engr. Austin Okolie.
In a swift and firm response to the press, the Gbandi Media Team described the report as “mischievous, misleading, and politically motivated,” calling on the public and ADC faithful to disregard the announcement. “No New EXCO Exists,” the statement declared, insisting that the so-called new leadership is “a phantom creation of political jobbers desperate to destabilize ADC in Delta State.”
The team further emphasized that the ADC Constitution provides clear procedures for summoning party meetings and considering leadership changes. “No such process was initiated, approved, or conducted,” the statement noted.
Calling the development “a sponsored distraction,” the Gbandi Media Team alleged that the move is part of a calculated attempt to create confusion and weaken ADC ahead of upcoming political contests.
The statement reaffirmed that Engr. Austin Okolie remains the undisputed, constitutionally recognized Chairman of ADC Delta State, supported by his Senatorial Vice Chairpersons and 25 LGA Chairmen, who continue to work to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure. The team urged members, stakeholders, and the general public to ignore “agents of confusion” and remain focused on building a stronger, united ADC in Delta State.
This statement was issued by Joshua Okoma, Media Aid to Hon. Kenneth Gbandi and Friend of Gbandi Political Vanguard, and is being communicated to the media to set the record straight.
