The vibrant Igbo community in Hamburg is set to witness a historic moment as Nzuko Ndigbo Hamburg e.V. Germany hosts the official inauguration of its newly elected officials led by High Chief Ben Ezenwa, the president General (PG). This landmark event will take place on Saturday, 13th September 2025, at the elegant Rüya Veranstaltungssaal, Barmbeker Markt Str. 40, 22081 Hamburg, from 7:00 PM until 4:00 AM.

The inauguration marks the beginning of a fresh chapter for Nzuko Ndigbo Hamburg, an association deeply committed to preserving Igbo culture, fostering unity, and promoting the welfare of its members in the Diaspora. The newly elected leadership promises to continue building on the legacy of service, cultural preservation, and community development.

Speaking ahead of the ceremony, the PRO of Nzuko Ndigbo Hamburg e.V. Germany Rufus Okafor emphasized that the event will not only be a formal swearing-in but also a celebration of cultural pride and community solidarity. Attendees can look forward to a night of rich cultural display, traditional music, camaraderie, and networking with prominent members of the Nigerian and wider African community in Germany and from Nigeria are expected to attend. Our own Hon. (Dr) Kenneth Gbandi, a renowned Diaspora leader with led a delegation from Nigeria to join other notable Diaspora leaders including High Chief Dr. Victor Njinmah (Otumba), Nze Basil Anuniru, Chief Ebere OBIOHA, Okah Oburuzor and Onye Ndu Igbo and host of others

The presence of friends, well-wishers, and partner associations from across Germany is expected to make the evening memorable. In true Igbo tradition, guests will be warmly welcomed and treated to the rich hospitality for which the community is renowned.

Nzuko Ndigbo Hamburg extends this cordial invitation to all friends of the community to come and share in this joyous milestone. As the Igbo proverb says, “A single tree cannot make a forest”  together, the community stands stronger.
