FAM strategy focuses on political sensitization and youth engagement in Northern Nigeria
Hon. (Dr.) Kenneth Chibuogwu Gbandi, Patron of The Forecast Articulated Media (FAM), has received the group’s Strategic Youth Mobilization Plan ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
The plan, presented by FAM Director-General Comrade Nasiru Adamu Randagi and members of his team, sets out an evidence-based approach to political sensitization, with a particular focus on young people in Northern Nigeria. It examines historical voting patterns, demographic changes and empirical projections to inform engagement and mobilization.
The strategy reflects a growing need for political outreach to be guided by research and a clear understanding of the issues facing voters. For young people, those issues include economic opportunity, education, employment, security and meaningful participation in public life.
As Patron of FAM, Gbandi welcomed the plan’s emphasis on data, science and youth empowerment. Its approach aligns with the values of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the ADC Diaspora Network (ADC-DN), including transparency, knowledge, inclusion and leadership development.
The plan positions youth as more than an audience for political messages. It recognizes them as a significant constituency whose perspectives, priorities and participation can shape the direction of the country.
Ahead of 2027, the strategy offers a framework for more informed political engagement one grounded in evidence and focused on the socio-economic concerns of young Nigerians.
