Hon. Kenneth Gbandi has praised Ms. Lauretta Onochie for her inspiring demonstration of genuine grassroots engagement. Gbandi made this remark as Ms. Onochie, former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari and former Chairman of the NDDC Governing Board, was officially presented to party members at Ward 4, Onicha Olona, Delta State. She was warmly embraced by leaders and supporters who gathered to celebrate her homecoming, an event many political observers described as a significant milestone for Delta North and indeed for Delta State.

Gbandi noted that her decision to identify fully with her ward aligns with the core admonition of Senator David Mark, who urged ADC faithful not to be mere “Abuja politicians,” but to routinely return to their states and wards to strengthen the party at its foundation.

According to Gbandi, Ms. Onochie’s exemplary leadership reflects her long-held conviction that charity must begin at home. He stated that with a political figure of her stature now fully in the ADC, Aniocha-Oshimili and Delta North are poised to witness a political tsunami. Beyond her well-known grassroots mobilization strength, he emphasized that she brings extensive national and international networks, positioning the ADC to enjoy support from the Diaspora, as well as from national and state structures.
