Abuja, Nigeria – The Steering Committee of Emerging Abuja, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to diaspora engagement, national development, and cultural diplomacy, is proud to announce the conferment of Hon. (Dr) Kenneth Gbandi as the Program Advisor of Emerging Abuja and an Ambassador of Groovy December 2025. This was made known to the media on Sunday in Abuja by Hon. Kenneth Ibe-Kalu, the Program Coordinator of Emerging Abuja, who described Dr. Gbandi as “a visionary bridge-builder between Nigeria and the world, whose leadership continues to inspire generations across sectors.”

Groovy December is not just another event; it is 16 days of cultural spectacle and modern celebration and a melting pot of music, sports, culinary showcases, visual arts, fashion, and innovation, bringing together thousands of local and international participants. Endorsed by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and supported by FCT Tourism and Social Development Secretariat, Groovy December 2025 has been tagged the “World Cup of Culture and Festivals.”

Adding prestige to the celebration is the appointment of Samson Siasia, legendary Super Eagles Coach and one of Nigeria’s finest football icons, as the Chief Ambassador of Groovy December 2025. The inclusion of Hon. Gbandi, with his decades of exemplary leadership in diaspora and public affairs, will further elevate the program’s national and global relevance.

The entire Steering Committee extends heartfelt congratulations to Hon. (Dr) Kenneth Gbandi and looks forward to his strategic guidance and ambassadorial inspiration as we countdown to the most exciting cultural event in Nigeria’s capital.
