The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Delta State Chapter, has issued a strong public alert and formally petitioned security agencies over what it describes as an illegal and potentially destabilizing event being promoted within Asaba by individuals allegedly impersonating party officials.
According to the ADC, a video and public notice currently circulating on social media claim that an “unveiling” of an ADC Secretariat and an official reception of certain individuals will take place on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, at a building along DLA Road, opposite Signature. The facility in question is reportedly displaying the ADC logo and other party identifiers without authorization.
In a communication made available to the Heritage public Affairs Desk, the ADC clarified that the event is not sanctioned by the legitimate State Chairman or the Executive Committee. Party leadership described the move as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public, sow confusion within the party, and potentially trigger confrontation, thereby threatening public peace and safety in the Delta State capital.
The ADC has officially notified the Delta State Police Command and the Department of State Services (DSS), urging an immediate investigation and swift intervention to stop the unauthorized gathering and prevent any escalation.
Party officials warned residents and supporters to disregard the announcement and cautioned the public to be wary of political impersonators attempting to exploit party symbols for unlawful purposes.
The ADC reaffirmed that all official communications and events must come directly from the recognized leadership of the party in Delta State.
