From Spanish ocean front resort, African Heritage Magazine’s European Desk caught up with Groovy Ambassador Hon. Kenneth Gbandi, who announced a landmark partnership between the Office of the Minister,  Arts, Culture, Tourism and creative economy, on the Emerging Abuja Program, and Groovy December.

“We are pleased to announce that the Office of the Minister,  Arts, Culture, Tourism and creative economy will partner with us as we collectively work to elevate the FCT tourism sector, positioning Abuja as a premier smart city and a global hub for innovation, tourism, and investment,” Gbandi stated.

This announcement comes on the heels of an official communication from the Ministry, which reads in part: “I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated 16 July 2025 on the above subject and commend your effort in the promotion of tourism in Nigeria. I am further directed to inform you that the Ministry looks forward to working closely with you to take the tourism sector to a greater height and reposition Abuja as a premier smart city and global destination for innovation and investment.” For diaspora leaders, European partners, and international investors, Hon. Gbandi emphasized that this collaboration represents a transformative opportunity to explore business and development prospects in Nigeria’s capital city. “I look forward to hosting Nigerians in the Diaspora and their investment partners at the sideline of the event for Business & Investment B2B Sessions and a Business Roundtable (BRT), where global partners, Nigerian entrepreneurs, and key government stakeholders will converge,” he said.

Key Sectors of Engagement: Real Estate & Infrastructure; Hospitality & Tourism; Agribusiness & Food Security; Creative & Cultural Industries and Technology & Start-Ups. According to Hon. Gbandi, the vision is to forge sustainable pathways that connect diaspora capital, foreign partnerships, and local innovation, ultimately driving inclusive growth, job creation, and economic resilience. With the office of Minister’s support, Groovy December 2025 promises not only to be a festive celebration but also a strategic platform for investment, cultural exchange, and international collaboration.
