In a firm and uncompromising tone, the Gbandi Media Team has issued a statement made available to the Heritage Global Affairs Desk, condemning recent attempts by certain individuals to destabilize the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Delta State through impersonation, illegal activities, and the unauthorized use of party symbols.
According to verified information from Engr. Austine Okolie, the legitimate ADC leadership uncovered an illegal and potentially disruptive event being promoted in Asaba. A circulating video and public notice claim that an “unveiling” of an ADC Secretariat and a reception for unnamed individuals will take place on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, at a building on DLA Road, opposite Signature, where the ADC logo and branding are being falsely displayed.
The ADC Delta State Chapter has categorically disowned the event, describing it as a calculated attempt to mislead the public, create confusion within party ranks, and incite tension, an actions that pose a direct threat to peace and public order in the state. Speaking through the Gbandi Media Team, Hon. Kenneth Gbandi condemned the activities in strong terms:
“Delta State ADC is not for sale, not for hijack, and certainly not a playground for political desperados. Anyone attempting to destabilize the peace, unity, and lawful structure of our party will be met with the full weight of the law. This is political desperation at its peak.”
The statement further noted that the ADC has formally alerted both the Delta State Police Command and the Department of State Services (DSS), urging them to investigate and halt the unauthorized activity before it escalates.
Party officials advised the public to disregard the fake announcement, warning supporters to remain vigilant and not fall victim to political impersonators seeking to exploit the party’s identity for personal gain.
Reaffirming the party’s official stance, Engr. Austine Okolie emphasized that all legitimate communications and activities of ADC Delta State must emanate solely from the recognized State Chairman and the duly constituted Executive Committee.
The Gbandi Media Team concluded with a clear message:
“ADC remains committed to peace, transparency, and lawful political engagement. No individual or group can undermine the party’s integrity or the will of its authentic leadership.”
