In a warm and symbolic homecoming, leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oshimili North Local Government Area gathered at the family home of Hon. Dr. Kenneth Chibuogwu Gbandi, ADC’s Diaspora and National Leader, to honor his unwavering commitment to grassroots politics and coalition building in Delta State.

The event followed a series of strategic meetings across the state aimed at strengthening the ADC-led coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections. Recognized for his ability to blend global political insight with local realities, Hon. Gbandi received a rousing welcome in his ward and home town an endorsement that further cements his role as a bridge between the Diaspora and the grassroots.

Speaking to the gathering, an evidently elated Hon. Gbandi expressed deep gratitude to the LGA and ward executives for choosing to host him in the ancestral home of his late parents, Chief and Ezinne Gbandi. “This is more than a meeting; it’s a reaffirmation of shared values and vision,” he remarked.

Oshimili North executives took turns to extol Hon. Gbandi’s virtues, lauding his pioneering role in building the ADC’s structures not only in the LGA but across Delta State. They praised his steadfast loyalty to the party, resisting the trend of defecting to the PDP or APC moves many considered politically fashionable in the state. Instead, they noted, his foresight and resilience have helped position ADC as the largest opposition party in Oshimili North and one of the most formidable political forces outside government in Delta State.

The leadership pledged renewed commitment to follow Hon. Gbandi, describing him as “a visionary and leader of capacity” who has consistently placed the people’s interest above personal gain. As the coalition awareness drive intensifies, this homecoming stands as both a symbolic and strategic moment in Delta State’s evolving political landscape.
