The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Delta State has issued a firm condemnation of what it describes as a “charade” being staged in Asaba by individuals allegedly attempting to operate a fake parallel party secretariat. In a unified position, the 25 Local Government Area Chairmen, the officially recognized State Executive, and the majority of the Leadership Team have reaffirmed their full support for the Engr. Austine Okolie–led Executive Committee, declaring that no parallel secretariat exists or is authorized anywhere in the state.
The statement from the party leadership expresses deep concern over reports that a group of unauthorized individuals is fraudulently presenting a building along DLA Road, opposite Signature, as an ADC Secretariat, while also announcing an unveiling ceremony and reception which took place on Wednesday, 10th December 2025. According to the legitimate ADC State Executive, those behind the event have no mandate, recognition, or approval from the party at any level and are acting in complete violation of the ADC Constitution and established procedures.
Leadership sources described the use of the ADC name, logo, and identity at the said location as unlawful impersonation and a deliberate attempt to mislead the public. The act, they noted, appears intended to create confusion, sow division, and misrepresent the party’s structure in Delta State, potentially destabilizing unsuspecting members ahead of key political engagements.
In a show of unity, the 25 LGA Chairmen and majority of the Leadership Team have openly distanced themselves from the activities in Asaba, unveiling a parallel secretariat in the state and urged party members, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard any announcements or invitations connected to the unauthorized site. They emphasized that the only recognized and constitutionally backed secretariat of the ADC in Delta State remains under the supervision of the legitimate State Executive Committee led by Engr. Austine Okolie.
Party leaders insist that the ADC will not tolerate any attempts to undermine its unity, distort its identity, or compromise its internal democratic processes. With this decisive stance, the Delta State chapter reaffirms its cohesion and alignment behind Engr. Okolie’s leadership, even as it moves to strengthen internal order and protect the integrity of the party across all LGAs.
