Houston, Texas 7th June 2025. In a landmark declaration set to reshape the contours of Nigerian diaspora political engagement, Dr. Peter Mozie, Chairman of ADC-DN Americas and a respected leader within the global diaspora movement, has called for a united front of Nigerians in the diaspora to drive forward the African Democratic Congress (ADC)’s bold political reawakening.
Speaking to a coalition of diaspora leaders and grassroots organizers, Dr. Mozie hailed the growing global alignment within the ADC as a “decisive turning point”, one fueled by the visionary leadership of Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu, National Chairman, African Democratic Congress (ADC) at the Global level and Hon. Dr. Kenneth Gbandi, ADC’s Deputy National Chairman for Diaspora Engagement. “The new coalition configurations under the ADC banner has infused unprecedented vigor into ADC-DN,” declared Dr. Mozie. “We are now strategically positioned to fully mobilize the diaspora’s vast potential and decisively shape Nigeria’s political future.”
At the heart of this dynamic shift in Americas is Prince Oliver N. Nkuku, Chairman of NAPAC-Texas and current Chairman of the ADC USA Chapter. A seasoned political organizer with a strong legacy of advocacy, Prince Nkuku will co-lead this continental mobilization alongside Dr. Mozie. His instrumental role during the 2023 Nigerian General and Presidential Elections, along with his extensive grassroots networks, solidifies his status as a critical force in this campaign.
In a joint statement, Dr. Mozie and Prince Nkuku officially announced the full-scale mobilization of the Nigerian diaspora under the banner of Global ADC-DN united in a shared mission to reinforce democratic values and realign Nigeria’s political destiny.
Dr. Mozie emphasized that this is more than a political movement but a call to national duty: “We stand on the brink of a defining moment in Nigeria’s democratic evolution, one where the diaspora’s collective voice, expertise, and resources will directly influence national outcomes and governance trajectories.”
With strong ADC-DN structures now active across Africa, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, the global mobilization effort is in full motion. Dr. Mozie urged all continental ADC-DN chairs, community leaders, and diaspora influencers to align with ADC Global’s vision, reinforcing the need for unity across existing political affiliations.
In a bold outreach, he extended an open invitation to members of the Obidient Movement, PDP supporters, and other progressive allies across the Americas: “This is a pivotal hour for Nigeria and her global diaspora. Together, we will engineer an electoral movement that authentically reflects the will of the people and reshapes our nation’s democratic landscape for generations to come.”
As Nigeria stands at the threshold of a new democratic chapter, the rising power of its global diaspora, led by passionate change-makers like Dr. Mozie and Prince Nkuku, promises not just participation but transformation.
