Keynote Address By Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu; National Chairman ADC on Anambra State Congress, Inauguration and Launch of the Anambra Global Vision at Choice Hotel, Arthur Eze Ave, Awka, Anambra state.

Today is 1st of May. It is workers day. So we begin by honoring the working class in Anambra, Nigeiria and the global community. Aluta continua.

For Anambra workers and Nigeria workers particularly, we feel your plight. For we are all in it. While the civil servants that have invested over 20yrs in service can hardly afford a decent meal, the political leaders have become multi-millionaires and billionaires. While the pensioners die on queues for their stipends, the political leaders get fat cheques, houses and other luxurious pecks. While our youths and women doing menial jobs are targeted by their various governments to boost internally generated revenues, the big men and their agents are looting the scarce revenue for their scandalous rendezvous. That is the gloomy state of real workers and our elected and appointed political elites in Nigeria.

Authoritarianism, propaganda, bigotry and blackmail are very well-known default lines of lackluster leaders. Injustice, divide and rule, bribery and corruption, ethnicity and religion are their sim-cards, data and Wi-Fi. The irresponsible regimen has gone on for too long in Nigeria not just within the last 22years of this republic, it predates the 61years of our independence. The results are the toxicity, terrorism and ethnic militia and state of paranoia which have overtaken our country. Yes, the killings, hate, state of total insecurity and the brigandage of people in government are all symptoms of leadership failure. Some of you may remember when in 2002, I said to Ndi-Anambra “Let’s go to Work”. Today, I reaffirm that singular statement not only to Ndi-Anambra but to our entire Nigerian people. Nigerians, “Let’s go to work to work; to salvage our states and country, empower our people; and create a model for all.”

Since 2002, they have reduced APGA to not just ethnic party, but village cocoon for rascally looting. APC has become Buhari-Tinubu-El Rufai-Amaechi script to impoverish and fragment our country and PDP maintains a records of endless looting and indiscipline. Together with Nigeria youths, women and Diasporans who have teamed up with ADC for Nigeria’s Transformational journey, the African Democratic Congress ADC, here in the grandSmithcity of Awka, says, Enough is Enough. I invite all Nigerians to join Senator Mrs Patricia Akwashiki the ADC BOT Chairman, General Ekundayo Opaleye rtd our BOT secretary, NLC Chairman Comrade Charles Onyeagba BOT Labor and Workers committee Chair, Senator Monsurat Sonmonu BOT Legislators and Foreign relations strategist, Dr. Mani Abdullahi Ahmad BOT #NewNigeria Vision advisor, Elder Calvin Alagoa thegrand patron BOT, and all the members of ADC BOT, the NWC, NEC and entire membership of ADC in Nigeria and Diaspora to echo this loudly so that it resonates for the whole world to hear E.N.O.U.G.H. is E.N.O.U.G.H. I reserve comments on other National hot button issues for another day.

The era of whining, ruing and complaining in Anambra and all over Nigeria should be over the moment the people aligns with us in ADC to usher in the orchestra to showcase the Super Power economic development and progressive society that have been denied our people and country. We in ADC have envisioned for Nigeria and the various states within the country clear trajectories of development so that no one is left behind. I call on our Kano colleagues not to allow the corrupt politicians to reduce Kano to an ethnic enclave because Kano was center of trans-Saharan trade more than three hundred years ago. I am sure that Lagosians are prepared to halt the greedy tendencies of a few to reduce the state to a den of Mafioso and paranoia politicians and people, instead of the epicenter of global commerce.

Nigeria is a giant weighed down by Leadership ineptitude, elite opportunism and hypocrisy and citizens inertia. It is high time Nigerians supported ADC to change the ugly and stupid narratives rocking our county. We must deconstruct the perilous order and the current mercantile political adventurism that have eclipsed geographical space of a country that has the propensity to be one of the peaceful super powers of the world. We have watched our country, states, LGAs ad Ancient cities reduced to ethnic figments by the small minds who have dominated position of authority.

With God on our side, the new chapter for Anambra begins today. ADC was the first and may still be the only party that called on all to embrace equity by zoning the Governor’s position to Anambra South. It is a faulty script to say that this method reduces merit, efficiency or effectiveness. Rather it is a Gilead balm that recognizes the great values and principles inherent in our diversity. Quality leaders for any state and the country reside in each and every of our local government councils, we can hone and perfect and leverage on this by creating the enabling environment.

Our great party ADC working in alignment with Ndi-Anambra have envisioned Anambra of tomorrow as the African Ijele state and cosmopolitan business hub to serve Africa and the world. I therefore urge all Anambra Youths, Women, PWD, and everyone resident in the state to own the vision. I am sure that the State executive that has been duly elected and inaugurated today will be able to become the anchor of this vision as harbingers of ADC DNA. I congratulate ADC Anambra state Chairman Comrade Patrick Obianyo (former NLC Chairman) and all his team on your well-deserved election.

I want to specially commend the head of today’s Congress Committee our national deputy Chairman (Politics) Dr. Bamidele Ajadi, and his team Barrister Ignatius Nlem and Engr. Tony Uche, Prof Madu, Pastor Agumadu and Ms Manasia for their works and commitment work.

I will like to announce to you that so far three contestants Engr Afam Ezenwafor, Chief Barr Godson Okoye and Dr Ejike Onuogu for the Anambra state governorship election. Eight others are still being processed. We will ensure that Anambra gets it right for the great transformation of the state and Nigeria to begin. To God the glory.

ADC – Arise. ADC – Arise. AD&C – Arise and Shine Nigeria.
Ralphs Okey Nwosu. Ikolo Dike Orabueze Awka.
