The 2015 NIDO Leadership Awards has an added dimension

The 2015 NIDO Leadership Awards has anadded dimension as it partners with Global Change for Africa Awards to bring to the international community and Awards event that celebrates deserving Nigerian achievers as well as their counterparts in the global arena that are doing the continent of Africa great.

Profile Nigerians In Diaspora Organization (NIDO) Germany

Nigerians In Diaspora Organization (NIDO) Germany is an organization made up of highly skilled and qualified Nigerians in Germany pulled together by their passion for a sustainable development in their homeland Nigeria and their readiness to make their input into this development.

NIDO Germany objectives are in line with the decision adopted on the 22nd November 2000 by the federal government of Nigeria for the establishment of a very strong Organisation that comprises Nigerian academicians and professionals residing in Europe.

These objectives could be summarized as: present our nation and people as honest and dependable, promote business, trade and investment opportunities, provide a professional resource pool from where (German) and Nigerian interests can be managed in a secure, respectful and fair manner, induce growth in the areas of economic, social, academic, political, entertainment e.t.c.)

Profile Global Change for Africa Awards

At the heart of the Global Change for Africa Awards is the belief that unity of purpose of peoples of African descent is vital to positive change for the continent within a global setting. Nation states with no common history have become neighbours in the global village that the world has become, making it justifiable to assert that the global community has a shared destiny with Africa.

Without doubt the continent of Africa has had a fair share of missed opportunities and stalled growth. However recent projections point to the potentials of Africa in the new global economic order. This is a clear departure from the doomsday picture that has dominated the scene about the continent in the past decades. Several individuals and corporates are driving these changes for Africa, mainly under the shadows. These are the unsung heroes and heroines of Africa’s rebirth. The Global Change for Africa Awards aims to honour these individuals and corporates as the change agents they truly are. The Award aspires to unify and uplift Africans at home and in the Diaspora as well as all other persons dedicated to the rebirth of the continent. And by doing so, the Awards contribute towards retelling the story of Africa as the continent of the future.

NIDO LEDEARSHIP AWARDS AND GLOBAL CHANGE BUSINESS DINNER

In line with our motto: “In pursuance of National development”, Nigerians In Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) Germany is partnering with ABG Paulas, Heritage Media Network Germany and Global Change for Africa Awards, Belgium to honour Nigerians and Africans who have shown remarkable leadership qualities in their areas of service through NIDO-Germany Leadership Service Awards 2015.

We are convinced that none of the efforts of Nigerians in Diaspora or African Achievers and Achievers for Africa will find a fertile ground in Nigeria and Africa if the leaders of thought and policy makers do not make our great continent conducive for these efforts. Being an African is a difficult responsibility for this reason with great honour, we recognize those Africans who distinguish themselves in the areas of pursuance of national development, socio-cultural enhancements, politics, economic activities, professional advancement and other ventures that mark excellence.

This act of recognition has become a NIDO Germany tradition and in partnership with Global Change for Africa we are expanding the frontier in 2015 to include the African continent. The current NIDO executive in line with our past NIDO leaders and founding members has resolved to honour Nigerians at home and abroad for distinguished service at various levels of leadership. The 2014 Leadership Service Award held in Hamburg is an acclaimed success just as the inaugural gala of Global Change for Africa Award in Antwerp, Belgium. The 2015 Award to be hosted in the German capital city of Berlin will be planned and leveraged by these successes.

The 2015 Leadership Award and Global Change for Africa Awards ceremony & Dinner scheduled for the 26th September, 2015 in Hotel Palace Berlin, Germany. Prior to this ceremony, a NIGERMAN Business & Investment Summit Potsdam 2015 will be organized in collaboration with IHK Potsdam and NIDO business and entrepreneurs on Friday 25th September 2015 in Potsdam Germany.
