Rejoice With Me!   Engr. Sebastian Udeajah

Saturday, 6th September 2014 was one of those very rare occasions when I allow my emotions to take a free happy ride. I was privileged to be awarded the Nigerians In Diaspora Organization NIDO Germany Leadership Service Awards! This is a touching moment as I was made to realize that all my efforts in community leadership (service) and towards advancement of Nigerian Development are fruitful and therefore recognized by my people. I am humbled and grateful and I dedicate this award to all members of NIDO Germany.

Other recipients of same award who were also present at the event included Chief Eng. Dr. Mrs. Ada Change, General Manager, Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority; Mr. Ekpo Una Owo Nta, Chairman Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) -This Commission and related Commissions must succeed for Nigeria to move forward in earnest.
Hon Collins Nweke, Belgium based politician: Municipal Legislator, Ostend City Council Belgium who is the immediate past Chairman of NIDO Europe; Sir Peter Idabor, Director General, National Oil Spill Detection & Response Agency (NOSDRA); Ambassador Habib Baba Habu, OON, Consulate General of Nigeria, New York; Ambassador Abdu Bin Rimdap former Ambassador to Germany (both ambassadors left indelible marks of leadership during their services in Germany); Mrs. Sadat Hassan the Immigration attaché at the Embassy of Nigeria in Germany who radically turned around and modernized the immigration/consular services to Nigerians and Germans in the embassy in Germany; Dr. Dan Ubani, community leader and one of the founders of NIDO Germany, Dr Nduka-Agwu, Prof. Dr. Anyanwu all three being leading medical experts in Germany’s world renowned Health Industry; and a couple of others not listed here were there to receive the awards from the hands of the dynamic leader of NIDO Germany, Hon Kenneth Gbandi who has been showing outstanding leadership ever since taking over the mantel from me last year. To support him in handing out the awards was the Secretary of NIDO Germany Mrs. Rosalyn Dressman.

To crown the list of awardees at the event was none but the progressive Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, the Kauran Bauchi and Honourable Minister Federal Capital Territory (FCT). He was there in person with his wife and aides to receive his leadership service award for his efforts in the FCT especially in attracting foreign direct investment; for his great strides in achieving the Millennium Development Goal in Health Delivery in the FCT.

To stand alongside these fighters of a better Nigeria in recognition reiterates that we, together, can change and advance our fatherland and make the Transformation Agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan a reality!

This second leadership awards was organized in cooperation with our long ally in developmental efforts: ABG Paulas, a company belonging to Mr. Ambrose Okojie, one of NIDO Germany’s outstanding Entrepreneurs who connects Nigerian businesses with German counterparts.

I thank the awardees for making candid efforts “In Pursuance of National Development”. I thank NIDO Germany and the award committee for finding me worthy of this most elevated Award in Germany.  Saturday, 6th September 2014 was one of those very rare occasions when I allow my emotions to take a free happy ride.
